We are excited to announce our opening for an Associate Director of Procurement Strategy on our Material Operations & Strategy team in Springfield, VA. This role will include, but not limited to, managing a team that coordinates with sourcing operations, design engineering, suppliers, production, and logistics in support of an Intelligence program. Responsible for coordinating subordinate employee recruitment, selection and training, performance assessment, work assignments, salary, and recognition/disciplinary actions. In addition, the role includes strategic oversight of developing material strategies, identifying and mitigating program risks and opportunities as they pertain to material requirements; oversight of reporting/tracking all program material activities; achieving programs’ material budget objectives; overseeing and managing program purchase requirements to lead time schedule; leading sourcing process improvement projects (both Supply Chain and Program); managerial oversight and direct involvement of resolving Supply Chain issues and material cost problems for programs; direct interface with government customer on-site.
This position reports into the Director, Material Operations & Strategy. This role will manage a mix of Material Project Managers and Material Planners to ensure all program supply chain and procurement requirements are being met across the program. Some travel may be required up to 25%.
Primary Responsibilities
-Serve as a leader in the Material Operations & Strategy organization with oversight of Material Project Managers and Material Planners in support of procurements for an Intelligence program.
-Lead teams of Supplier and internal staff in collaboratively solving problems in Cost/Value Engineering, Affordability, and Technical Solutions
-Acts as Procurement Lead Interface with government customer on-site for procurement needs and inquiries
-Job responsibilities associated with Supplier Management, Business Process Re-Engineering, and Procurement Tool deployments
-Coordinate with suppliers and program/senior leaders on hardware and software selection, maintenance issues, and problem resolution
-Collaborate within supply chain organization, across program and technical leadership, and with suppliers to drive innovative supply chain and technical solutions that meet program requirements
-Project planning, scheduling, coordination
-Lead development of BOMs, ROMs, and resource planning
Basic Qualifications
-US Citizen
-Active clearance of TS/SCI with Polygraph
-Bachelor’s degree and 8+years in Supply Chain, Business, Finance, Operations, or technical related field. MBA or MS and 6+ years of related experience.
-IT Background with experience in Procurement, Logistics, Supplier Management, and Project Management/Planning.
-Strong knowledge of Supply Chain and related systems along with material procurement
-Demonstrated experience interfacing across multiple organizations and program and customer levels with minimal supervision
-Excellent written and oral communications skills
-Ability to work under tight time constraints
- Knowledge of customer flow-through requirements such as FAR, ITAR, OFFSET, Foreign Corrupt Practices Act (FCPA) and public law
Preferred Qualifications
-Experience in inventory planning, coordination, and tracking a plus
-PMP, Supply Chain Engineering, HW/SW Maintenance Planning, Earned Value Management, and Proposal Volume Authorship Experience
-Strong understanding of US Government acquisition laws and regulations (FAR)
-PowerBI or equivalent experience preferred

Pay Range:
Pay Range $131,300.00 - $237,350.00
