We are looking for an In app guidance developer to join the Caterpillar Creative Content Creation Team in Cat digital. We are in a period of rapid development and it’s a very exciting time to join part of Caterpillar’s Content Group. This is an opportunity for you to have a direct impact on a team that will help define the future of Caterpillar’s digital content through thoughtful and innovative content initiatives!
Purpose of the Job:
The In app Guidance developer will be responsible for the development & deployment of content services. In this role, they should collaborate with business team to understand the scope, liaising with colleagues across multiple teams for technical requirements and also act as a subject matter expert of Content services. We are looking for someone with strong attention to detail, fix technical issues in walk me development, a passion for learning, and impact with a strong focus on in-app guidance development expertise. This role will also be responsible for the efficiency and effectiveness of systems and processes, productivity, data integrity, process consistency, documentation and training.
Responsibilities:
• Designing, modifying, developing, writing and implementing walk me development for Cat digital applications using agile methods.
• Resolve development issues and also look for automation and optimization in content creation.
• Assess needs and use cases to quickly come up with impactful and creative solutions
• Proactively solve recurring challenges and assess complex problems and solicit resolutions
• Ability to manage and work on simultaneous projects
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• Strongly adhere to processes and guidelines
• Must have the ability to understand the products through hands-on experience
• Experience with whatfix, Adobe Robohelp, MadCap Flare tool, Salesforce help articles is added advantage
Qualifications:
Computer science or IT or any relevant Engineering Degree with 5 years of software development experience on HTML, CSS, Jquery and 5 years of expertise in walk me to drive adoption with digital user experience journeys
Desired Skill set:
• Expertise in walk me and extensive knowledge in CSS, HTML and Jquery
• Experience leveraging multiple software tools like Camtasia & Snagit for GIF creation & image editing, Azure DevOps for tracking projects, etc.
• Familiar with the process of Documentation Development Cycle working in an agile, rapid-development and fast-paced environment
• Critical & analytical thinking and highly motivated individual with ability to grasp complex engineering concepts
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and to meet aggressive deadlines
• Successful track record of working independently both in an office and telecommuting setting
