Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and customer-oriented Retail Sales Associate to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, assisting customers with their purchases, and ensuring a pleasant shopping experience. You will utilize your skills in merchandising, stocking, and sales to contribute to the overall success of our retail operations.
Duties
- Greet customers warmly and provide assistance in locating products.
- Operate the Point of Sale (POS) system efficiently for transactions.
- Handle cash transactions accurately while adhering to cash handling procedures.
- Conduct product demonstrations to enhance customer understanding and engagement.
- Upsell products by identifying customer needs and suggesting relevant items.
- Maintain the sales floor by stocking shelves, organizing merchandise, and ensuring displays are visually appealing.
- Assist in supervising junior staff members, providing guidance and support as needed.
- Utilize effective communication skills to address customer inquiries and resolve issues promptly.
- Apply basic math skills for accurate pricing and transaction processing.
- Participate in inventory management and assist with stock replenishment as necessary.
Requirements
- Previous experience in retail sales or grocery store environments is preferred.
- Strong customer service skills with a focus on enhancing the shopping experience.
- Proficiency in POS systems and basic cashiering functions.
- Ability to perform retail math calculations accurately.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written; bilingual candidates are a plus.
- Experience with merchandising techniques to create attractive product displays.
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment while also being self-motivated.

Pay: $15.00 - $27.00 per hour
