Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and strategic Head of Financial Planning and Analysis to lead our financial analysis functions and support executive decision-making. This role requires a deep understanding of financial concepts, regulatory standards, and advanced analytical skills to drive financial performance, ensure compliance, and facilitate strategic growth initiatives. The ideal candidate will possess strong organizational skills, technical accounting expertise, and the ability to interpret complex financial data to inform business strategies.
Responsibilities
- Lead the development and management of financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and analysis processes to support corporate objectives.
- Oversee the preparation of detailed financial reports, including profit & loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow analyses.
- Conduct comprehensive financial analysis to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for cost savings or revenue enhancement.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory reporting standards such as SOX, IFRS, GAAP, and other relevant frameworks.
- Manage the preparation of financial statements in accordance with applicable accounting standards and internal policies.
- Support strategic planning initiatives by providing insightful financial modeling and scenario analysis.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including corporate accounting, sales, pricing, investment analysis, and regulatory compliance to ensure accurate financial reporting and data integrity.
- Monitor key financial metrics such as profit & loss performance, cost accounting measures, and organizational financial health.
- Implement best practices in financial software utilization for data analysis, report generation, and process automation.
- Provide leadership in technical accounting issues including IFRS/GAAP application and regulatory reporting requirements.
- Maintain strong organizational skills to manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines.
Requirements
- Proven experience in financial planning & analysis within a corporate environment; prior experience in public accounting or regulatory reporting is highly desirable.
- Extensive knowledge of SOX compliance, IFRS, GAAP standards, and regulatory reporting requirements.
- Strong background in corporate finance concepts including cost accounting, pricing strategies, investment analysis, and profit & loss management.
- Demonstrated expertise in financial report writing, statement preparation, and interpretation of complex financial data.
- Proficiency with advanced financial software tools and systems used for budgeting, forecasting, analysis, and reporting.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to analyze account data thoroughly while maintaining accuracy under tight deadlines.
- Strong understanding of technical accounting principles such as IFRS/GAAP application and regulatory standards.
- Exceptional analytical skills combined with strategic thinking to support business growth initiatives.
- Effective communication skills for presenting complex financial information clearly to stakeholders at all levels.
