Overview
Job Summary
Manages overall supply chain operations, procurement, vendor management, inventory planning and inventory management, material handling, kitting, shipping and receiving in support of the company’s various customer segments, and in compliance with applicable regulatory and/or federal requirements. Develops and executes strategies to improve overall QCD (quality/cost/delivery) performance of the company’s supply chain and collaborates actively with all other company functions to optimize enterprise-wide demand and supply planning.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities include the following:
- Responsible for building and managing a performance supply chain organization focused on executing the company’s strategic and financial plans.
- Manage critical vendor and partner relations to ensure availability and cost effectiveness of quality parts and services in support of the company’s on-time and on-budget objectives.
- Identify and execute opportunities for cost savings and process improvements within the organization’s supply chain.
- Manage and rationalize the approved vendor list (AVL) and coordinates with Safety & Quality to measure and manage vendor quality, including addressing non-conformities and their associated RCA/CAR process.in order to support the company’s QCD objectives.
- Manage inventory to include cyclic, safety stock (min/max), obsolescence, and warehousing.
- Support sales/BD efforts by initiating and organizing quotes for commercial and DoD compliant proposals.
- Lead strategic sourcing agreement negotiations with key vendors and execute contracts that protect the company’s financial interests and compliance obligations.
- Ensure legal compliance with civil and federal regulations (domestic and international), including but not limited to Federal Acquisition Regulation Contractor Purchasing System requirements and Defense Priorities and Allocation System (DPAS).
- Manage all logistics-related activities (shipping/receiving/kitting/material handling) in a manner consistent with a lean mindset, with focus on QCD performance, and in support of the company’s operational goals.
- Plan and manage inventory to ensure all projects or customer requirements are produced/delivered on time and on budget, whilst minimizing the impact of inventory on working capital and maximizing inventory turns.

Supervisory Responsibilities
Directly supervises employees in the Supply Chain Department. Carries out Supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, selecting, hiring, and training employees, planning, assigning and directing work; appraising performance, rewarding and disciplining employees, addressing complaints and resolving problems. For Exempt Managers: Managers that carry out these responsibilities for two or more employees will have significant input in hiring and termination decisions.
Qualifications

Education & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree (BS/BA) from four-year college or university or 8-10 years related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Degree in Business or Supply Chain preferred
- A proven track record in implementing and/or working in a functioning S&OP environment
- A proven track record in developing cross-functional integrated plans to optimize service/product delivery
- Experience in developing and managing a vendor base and its performance in aviation (or similar engineered products or systems)
- Experience in inventory management and kitting

- Excellent communication and presentation skills, both written and verbal
- Strong interpersonal skills and a high degree of collaboration at all levels

- Proven leadership and execution skills
- Cross-functional team player; ability to maintain cooperative and harmonious relationships with diverse customers externally and intra-company departments internally
Computer Skills
- Advanced Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
- Working knowledge Visual ERP system preferred

USD $124,372.50/Yr.
Maximum Pay
USD $158,550.00/Yr.
