The Core Video iOS team is looking for an exceptional Engineering Manager to grow and develop our international talent base into a first-class team of engineers. Essential Functions (Responsibilities):
- Mentor and coach team members by setting clear growth goals, providing regular feedback, and supporting career development aligned with individual aspirations and organizational needs.
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to align technical direction with business goals, ensuring user needs are met through inclusive planning and transparent communication.
- Champion engineering excellence by fostering a culture of continuous improvement through code reviews, knowledge sharing, and collaborative development practices.
- Translate business needs into scalable, maintainable software solutions that integrate seamlessly with the broader technical ecosystem.
- Lead estimation and risk assessment processes, proactively identifying dependencies and mitigation strategies to ensure predictable delivery.
- Contribute to and influence the team roadmap, balancing strategic initiatives with delivery commitments and team capacity planning.
- Drive innovation by exploring emerging technologies and continuously improving engineering processes to enhance team productivity and product quality.
- Foster an inclusive team culture where diverse perspectives are valued, psychological safety is prioritized, and every team member can thrive.
Qualifications
- 4 years of leading an engineering team with prior senior-level iOS development experience.
- Must have an enthusiasm for building an iOS library that handles all aspects of video playback.
- Value collaboration with teammates and stakeholders.
- Understanding deadlines, constraints and scope of delivery and experience working with stakeholders to ensure the right balance between these is met, setting expectations and handling risks early.
- Being an analytic problem solver with a strong sense of autonomy, and with an open collaborative approach to getting the job done.
- Interest in cultivating a strong team culture where engineers of diverse backgrounds can grow.
This position is eligible for company sponsored benefits, including medical, dental, and vision insurance, 401(k), paid leave, tuition reimbursement, and a variety of other discounts and perks.
