Job Overview
Expressit Logistics is looking for a highly driven Sales Associate with an active book of business in transportation and logistics. This role is ideal for someone who thrives on building relationships with shippers, closing deals, driving strong revenue growth, and delivering outcomes that lead to higher compensation.
You will be responsible for bringing your existing portfolio, developing new accounts, and managing long-term client relationships.
Responsibilities
- Develop and grow a portfolio of direct shippers using your existing relationships.
- Generate new business through outbound prospecting, networking, and referrals.
- Manage the full sales cycle: lead generation, quoting, negotiation, closing, and follow-up.
- Maintain strong communication with shippers regarding loads, schedules, and service performance.
- Collaborate with operations and dispatch to ensure on-time performance and customer satisfaction.
- Track sales activities and report weekly performance.
- Meet and exceed monthly revenue and margin targets.
Requirements
- Active book of business in LTL freight sales – MANDATORY.
- Minimum 3-5 years of experience in LTL Freight sales, MANDATORY.
- Strong understanding of Final Mile, LTL, operations, and U.S. freight market dynamics.
- Proven ability to close deals and maintain long-term shipper relationships.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and follow-up skills.
- Located within the state of California
- Self-motivated, organized, and able to work independently.
- Available to report at a minimum of one day a week in one of our California locations: San Leandro, CA, City of Commerce, CA, or Rocklin, CA. You pick your base.
