We are a Commercial AC company currently seeking an experienced and talented Mechanic to join our team. In this position, you will be responsible for maintaining and repairing all machinery and vehicles.
Your duties will include, inspecting vehicles, machinery, maintaining the workshop cleanliness and assisting AC technicians when necessary.
Responsibilities
- Inspect equipment such as skid steers, tractors, trailers, vehicles, engines, transmissions etc. and run diagnostic tests to discover functionality issues
- Conduct repairs aiming for maximum reliability
- Troubleshoot reported problems and resolve them in a timely manner
- Perform thorough maintenance on machinery, equipment and systems
- Perform maintenance/emergency repairs on the fuel, brake, electrical and transmission systems of diesel trucks
- Regularly service and maintain all vehicles and equipment on-site.
- Provide consultation on correct maintenance and preventative measures to machine or vehicle users
- Keep logs of work and report on issues
- Keep shop area cleaned and organized.
- Assist unloading shipments of parts & equipment received at the shop daily.
- Validating parts receipts to packing slips.
Requirements and skills
- Proven experience as Mechanic
- Knowledge of machinery diesel, hydraulic, and electrical and other systems and their components
- Ability to operate fork lift.
- Aptitude in using various hand tools and precision measurement tools
- Ability to follow established procedures and practices and read instruction, blueprints etc.
- A strong commitment to all health and safety guidelines
- Good communication skills
- A problem-solving ability
- Punctual and reliable
- Good physical strength and stamina
- High school diploma is preferred; Certification from a vocational school or completion of apprenticeship is a definite plus
- Valid certification (e.g. ASE) is preferred
- Valid AZ Driver’s License
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
