Leidos is currently hiring a highly motivated and detail-oriented Logistics Analyst to join our multifaceted Logistical Support Team in the Alexandria, VA area. This role is critical to ensuring seamless coordination of supply chain operations while incorporating advanced financial and budgetary responsibilities. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills, expertise in cost analysis, and advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel to support data-driven decision-making and operational efficiency. This position requires the ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment while maintaining the highest standards of security and compliance.
Location: Alexandria, VA (80%) and Washington, DC metro area (20%)
Key Responsibilities:
Logistics Operations:
- Coordinate and optimize supply chain processes, including procurement, inventory management, and distribution
- Monitor and analyze logistics performance metrics to identify areas for improvement
- Control the flow of goods, services, and information from point of origin through customer placement to meet requirements
- Execute material handling and transportation of goods and materials within the DC metro area
- Manage inventory control and facilitate production planning for major systems and transportation
- Implement life cycle maintenance and integrated product support (IPS) for major systems
Finance and Budget Analysis:
- Conduct detailed budget and financial analyses to ensure alignment with organizational goals
- Examine and research budgetary and financial information to support decision-making
- Monitor expenditures and identify cost-saving opportunities within logistics operations
- Perform in-depth cost analysis to evaluate the financial impact of logistics decisions
- Develop cost models and scenarios to support strategic planning
- Prepare and present financial summaries and forecasts to management
Procurement and Vendor Management:
- Perform product research and procurement sourcing activities
- Negotiate with vendors to determine best value and justify strategic selection of goods
- Administer vendor accounts, including invoicing, billing, and reconciliation
- Ensure all procurement activities comply with Federal Acquisition Regulations (FARs), Leidos Policy, and standard operating procedures
Data Management and Analysis:
- Utilize advanced Microsoft Excel functions (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, macros, data visualization) to analyze large datasets
- Use database systems to track, order, inventory, and receive goods, equipment, and materials
- Create and maintain detailed spreadsheets to track logistics performance, budgets, and costs
- Develop automated reporting tools to streamline data analysis and reporting processes
- Execute system fault analyses and implement corrective measures
Additional Responsibilities:
- Coordinate and integrate material and information flows among suppliers, manufacturers, distributors, and customers
- Ensure all equipment and information are properly tracked and reported
- Produce customer after-action reports as required
- Review technical CAD drawings and documents when necessary
Required Qualifications:
- Security Clearance: Must currently hold a Top Secret clearance
- Education: Bachelor's degree with 2+ years of experience in a logistics environment (inventory, shipping, receiving, or administration). High school diploma with an additional four years of experience may be considered in place of a degree
- Technical Skills: Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office products, including Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Word
- Experience: Knowledge of property management, warehouse distribution, inventory management, and/or material handling
- Software: Ability to work with workflow, service, procurement, and inventory software systems
- Physical Requirements: Must be able to lift and carry 35 pounds and move 140 pounds (roll compressed gas cylinders)
- Transportation: Valid Driver's License and ability to obtain qualification as a Commercial Motor Vehicle (CMV) driver (Non-CDL)
- Skills: Excellent customer service, teamwork, problem-solving, and time management skills
- Adaptability: Flexible, able to learn in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, and adjust to changing situations and procedures
Preferred Qualifications:
- Forklift experience
- Experience with ServiceNow, Oracle, and/or Costpoint
- Experience driving a CMV straight truck with GVWR below 26,001 lbs (non-CDL position)
- Experience reviewing technical CAD drawings and documents

Pay Range:
Pay Range $52,000.00 - $94,000.00
