Leidos is seeking a Business Analyst to be part of the mission solution and help lead our customer’s Digital Modernization Strategy.
Join one of our high performing teams responsible for modernizing our customer’s mission systems to meet the changing needs of the public and internal customers. We are a team of forward-looking professionals in need of a strong Business Analyst with these key required skills: Strong knowledge of user-centered design (UCD) principles to include documenting user requirements and user needs (and pain points); requirements gathering in both formal and informal settings; and experience working as part of a software development team in a fast-paced environment. You will work closely with the customer to understand the business functions, documenting these in user stories, and then you will analyze the stories and create a release plan that delivers key functions to the customers on a rapid timeline.
You will help support data modernization activities and be responsible for a variety of business and functional tasks including, but not limited to, requirements gathering standards, guidelines, and analyzing phase methodology to meet the client's overall objectives. You will also assist in providing client meeting and deliverable support as required, define and document solution requirements, support technical teams, and help identify relevant delivery risks.

Derive business processes, analyze user needs, lead requirements definition.
Elicit business goals and user needs from stakeholders.
Facilitate customer discovery sessions.
Document user requirements, screen designs, and design recommendations.
Conduct meetings to elicit, define and document requirements from sponsors and end users.
Conduct qualitative analysis of existing implementations and provide thoughtful, strategic improvement recommendations.
Conduct requirements gathering sessions with client stakeholders using interviews, document analysis, business process descriptions, scenarios, workflow analysis.
Decompose business needs into agile requirements.
Be responsible for having clear requirements with acceptance criteria for each user story before the sprint starts.
Translate requirements into clear acceptance criteria.
Articulate business requirements to developers and testers.
Identify gaps in processes, opportunities for improvements and automation.
Assist the product owner with prioritizing the backlog.
Develop and maintain requirements management lifecycle artifacts.
Document the requirements and track of requirement changes.
Write UAT scripts and conducting UAT sessions if needed.
Work directly with the PM to ensure that project deliverables are met.
Work with automation testers to identify regression test candidates for automation.
Participate in daily scrum meetings.
Participate in all phases of risk management assessments and software development with emphasis on analysis of user requirements.
Please Note: This is 100% Telework role. Candidate selected will have to work East Coast hours regardless of physical location.
FOUNDATION FOR SUCCESS (Required Qualifications):
BA Degree and 8+ years of prior relevant experience OR Masters with 6+ years of prior relevant experience. Additional years of relevant experience may be considered/accepted in lieu of degree.
Demonstrate strong oral and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate technical topics as well as interface with the customer on a daily basis.
Minimum of 8 years of direct Interaction/Interface design experience in User-Centered Methods and User Analysis.
Experience with Agile software development frameworks, i.e. Scrum.
Experience in drafting detailed requirements.
Ability to create mockups, Visio diagrams/charts, functional & design documents, Test Scripts.
Demonstrated knowledge of all business analysis practices with emphasis on business requirements gathering, facilitation, testing and work flow analysis.
Demonstrate a sense of urgency, and the ability to work independently and proactively in achieving team and individual objectives.
Comfortable in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
Must have strong attention to detail and an inquisitive mindset.
Ability to quickly grasp and understand technical concepts and systems.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Very strong Analytical and problem-solving skills.
Must be able to obtain and maintain a Public Trust security clearance.
U.S. Citizen required.

HOW TO STAND OUT FROM THE CROWD (Desired Qualifications):
Showcase your knowledge of modern development through the following experience or skills:
Experience with the Agile/Scrum methodology.
Understanding of responsive design.
Prior experience supporting government agencies.
Experience with test automation.
Experience with Section 508 compliance testing.
PMI-BA certification.
Certified Scrum Master or Certified Product Owner.
Please Note: The program budget salary for this role could fall anywhere between $110,000 to low/mid $130,000 with a slight wiggle room (no guarantees) based on relevant experience and assessment.
