Job Description:
JOB POSITION SUMMARY
Manages all aspects of the QC testing program on shift.
Ensures all testing & quality requirements related to all products meet company requirements.
This position also provides technical leadership and establishes appropriate systems to ensure departmental compliance with regulatory requirements.
Responsible for driving QC testing targets and pace in the lab.
The QCTL role involves management of personnel on shift (core, workday, 5 conversations, ER/LR management).
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Supervises the performance, review and scheduling of laboratory personnel. Provides training development.
Oversees QC testing program on shift and coordinates laboratory activity in support of routine testing etc.
Coordinates and prioritizes laboratory activity in support of routine testing, product release, product shelf-life, process non-conformances, complaint investigations, regulatory submissions, etc.
Acts as a technical expert and approval authority on relevant technical issues, protocols, SOPs, methods, etc. Supports cost improvement projects within department and in support of internal customers.
Drives closure of O/I's, ensures TWI process conformation checks, BOP audits, In solution analysis, NC investigations, 5S audits are all supported and completed in a timely manner.
Oversees safety & environmental requirements for QC lab and ensures lab meets all safety requirements.
Track, report, & improve key quality indicators for laboratory compliance and efficiency.
Performs other related duties as assigned by management.
Supports the planning of annual spending and headcount budgets.
Acts as the contact for regulatory groups on QC issues and audits.
Following Good Manufacturing Practice requirements in all aspects of role
Manages all aspects of people management - core, workday, 5 conversations, ER/LR activities

EXPERIENCE & EDUCATION
Min. Cert level in Quality / Science related discipline
5 Years’ Experience in a regulated environment
Leadership experience
Ability to work in a team environment while meeting daily targets

Being able to work in a team environment
SHIFT ROTATION
12 hour shifts working. 2 shifts on and 2 shifts off, followed by 3 shifts on and 3 shifts off. This occurs over a month of days then a month of nights.
