Role Definition
We are seeking a hands-on technical leader to oversee advanced technical services and maintenance operations in a high-tech manufacturing environment. This role combines leadership responsibilities with deep technical expertise in robotics, PLCs, industrial heat treat systems, hydraulics, and general maintenance. The ideal candidate demonstrates ownership, a proactive attitude, and a passion for learning and development while driving equipment reliability and operational excellence.
What you will do
Lead and mentor a team of maintenance technicians, fostering a culture of safety, accountability, and continuous improvement.
Plan, schedule, and execute preventive and predictive maintenance activities using CMMS tools.
Troubleshoot and repair complex systems, including robotics, PLCs, hydraulics, pneumatics, and heat treat equipment.
Collaborate with operations to align maintenance priorities with production goals and minimize downtime.
Analyze maintenance data to identify trends and implement process improvements.
Oversee vendor relationships, spare parts inventory, and support capital projects.
Ensure compliance with all safety standards and regulatory requirements.
Degree Requirement
Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Technology (or related field) or equivalent experience desired.
Skills you must have
Accuracy and Attention to Detail: Understanding the necessity and value of accuracy; ability to complete tasks with high levels of precision.
Effective Communications: Understanding of effective communication concepts, tools and techniques; ability to effectively transmit, receive, and accurately interpret ideas, information, and needs through the application of appropriate communication behaviors.
Engineering - Manufacturing: Knowledge of processes, techniques and methods of engineering in a manufacturing environment; ability to design and implement materials, structures, machines, devices, systems and processes that safely realize a desired objective or invention.
Plant Facilities Management: Knowledge of processes, methodologies and techniques used to manage plant facilities; ability to handle the full spectrum of activities for managing and maintaining physical facilities and infrastructure.
Problem Solving: Knowledge of approaches, tools, techniques for recognizing, anticipating, and resolving organizational, operational or process problems; ability to apply knowledge of problem solving appropriately to diverse situations.
Project Management: Knowledge of effective project management strategies and tactics; ability to plan, organize, monitor, and control projects, ensuring efficient utilization of technical and administrative resources to achieve project objectives.
Technical Troubleshooting: Knowledge of technical troubleshooting approaches, tools, and techniques; ability to anticipate, recognize, and resolve technical issues on hardware, software, application, or operation.
Top candidates will also have
5+ years of experience in industrial maintenance, with exposure to robotics and PLC systems.
Strong knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics, electrical systems, and mechanical troubleshooting.
Proficiency in CMMS and Microsoft Office Suite.
Demonstrated leadership skills with ability to coach and develop team members.
Excellent problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills.
Commitment to safety and operational excellence.
Additional Information
This position posting will close on 01/21/2026 at 11:59 p.m.
The location for this position is East Peoria, IL (Building KK) and requires the employee to work an Alternative Work Schedule (AWS) 2-2-3 (12 hour shifts).
Employees will work 12-hour shifts (6 AM–6 PM) on a repeating 14-day cycle
Pattern: Work 2 days, off 2 days, work 3 days; then reverse the following week
Which results in 7 working days every 14 days, including a 3-day weekend off every other week

This position may require less than 10% travel.

Summary Pay Range:
$81,370.00 - $122,060.00
