About E+ES
Caterpillar’s Electrification & Energy Solutions (E&ES) Division will focus on delivering advanced electrified power train, zero-emissions products/technologies, and the solutions and services associated with these technologies. Focus areas include batteries, fuel cells, motors, inverters, micro grid controllers, charging, energy storage systems, lifecycle solutions/services and integration of components for ePowertrain solutions across industries.

Job Summary
Join the team at Caterpillar’s newly established motor prototyping facility in Noblesville, Indiana—a key initiative supporting our electrification strategy. As a Manufacturing Technician, you will play a hands-on role in building, assembling, and testing advanced motor technologies that will shape the future of our products. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a startup environment within a global leader, contributing directly to innovation and product development from day one.
What You Will Do
Operate and maintain manufacturing equipment and tools.
Perform inspections and quality checks to ensure product integrity.
Collaborate with engineering and development teams to refine processes and designs.
Document procedures, test results, and improvement opportunities.
Support continuous improvement, safety, and lean manufacturing initiatives.
What You Will Have
Engineering - MFG: Basic understanding and knowledge of processes, techniques and methods of engineering in a manufacturing environment; ability to design and implement materials, structures, machines, devices, systems and processes that safely realize a desired objective or invention.
Describes where and how to obtain additional engineering information and expertise.
Explains engineering concepts and features in a manufacturing environment.
Identifies major initiatives, key issues and benefits of engineering in manufacturing.
Manufacturing Equipment: Basic understanding and knowledge of the electrical, mechanical and logistics equipment used in manufacturing; ability to safely operate, maintain, update and store them.
Explains where and how to obtain more equipment-specific information.
Lists basic aspects of routine and preventive maintenance.
Identifies uses and features of diverse types of manufacturing equipment.
Manufacturing Processes: Working knowledge of existing product manufacturing methods, technologies and processes; ability to execute, plan, manage and monitor the entire manufacturing process.
Assesses associated phases, activities, deliverables and processes.
Documents relevant standards, policies and practices.
Follows standard manufacturing processes to conduct production activities.
Explains tools, techniques and documents used for process monitoring and control.
What Will Put You Ahead
Technical diploma or associate degree in manufacturing, electronics, or related field preferred.
Hands-on experience in mechanical or electrical assembly, testing, or prototyping.
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and work instructions.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
Willingness to work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
Physical Requirements
The ability to bend, reach, and squat while performing tasks
The ability to wear required personal protective equipment for assigned tasks
The ability to work in an environment with frequently changing temperatures
The ability to stand and/or sit for extended periods while performing tasks

Additional Information
This position requires the candidate to work a 5-day-a-week schedule in the Noblesville, IN facility.

Summary Pay Range:
$72,360.00 - $108,540.00
Compensation and benefits offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, job level, market location, job-related knowledge, skills, individual performance and experience. Please note that salary is only one component of total compensation at Caterpillar.
