None/Not RequiredOur team is responsible for managing all aspects of a select Business and Regional Avionics customer, which makes up the largest portfolio in Business and Regional Avionics. We provide the flight decks for some of the most advanced business jets in the world. We are looking for a Value Stream Leader to lead the business with one of our most important customers.
This Value Stream Leader will have life cycle responsibility and will be the primary customer point of contact for a few of their key programs. The candidate will have the opportunity to lead both sustaining activities and development activities at our top Business and Regional Avionics customer.
The primary responsibilities for this position include ensuring unsurpassed customer satisfaction, growing the profitability of the business, and strategically planning for the future. Internally this will require coordinating extensively with engineering, operations, finance, marketing, service and support. Externally this position will communicate with several organizations within the customer, including procurement, engineering, and program management. This position will provide opportunities for significant visibility to leadership both internally and externally, while positioning the applicant for larger and more complex programs and responsibilities in the future.
Highly qualified candidates should have a strong technical background in avionics products and systems, with experience leading and managing complex product or system developments. Successful candidates will demonstrate an ability to build customer relationships while leading a profitable business. This includes balancing soft skills, technical knowledge, and business acumen to position our team for continued success.
This position will be based onsite at any domestic Avionics location.
What YOU Will Do:*

Builds strong affinity with customer. Primary customer interface, typically program management, engineering, and procurement agents.

Initial responsibilities will be 75% focused on ensuring excellence in aircraft delivery support and quality. The remaining 25% will be focused on full responsibility for executing small to medium develop programs.

Has understanding of systems engineering concepts, manufacturing processes, customer support, decision point processes and engineering processes.

May prepare pursuit and order capture strategies including most important requirements, competitive face-off, customer contact plans and related action planning.

Develops solutions to a variety of complex problems. May refer to established precedents and policies. Exerts some influence on the overall objectives and long-range goals of the organization. Erroneous decisions or failure to achieve objectives would normally have a significant effect upon the administration of the organization.

Strong understanding of the industry and customer.

Responsible for managing a program which is of moderate levels of risk and complexity.

Plans, directs and monitors program budget and serves as primary customer contact for program information. Has responsibility for profit/loss of the program.

Ensures that all required resources such as engineering, engineering support, production, services, facilities and the like are available for the program.

Responsible for meeting program budget and schedule.

Has primary responsibility for program growth, may be responsible for marketing new technology or follow-on business.

Responsible for risk management of existing products and large development programs.

Works with minimal supervision / oversight. Supports program status reviews to executive level as needed.
Qualifications You Must Have:

Typically requires a University Degree and minimum 8 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 5 years of experience

Travel required ~25%
Preferred Qualifications:

Preferred candidate will have experience working directly with customers and possess a strong development background, engineering and execution experience.

Previous experience in program, product LCVSM, or TPM

Understanding of avionics system engineering

The salary range for this role is 107,500 USD - 204,500 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
