What You'll Be Doing
- Safely handle, load, and detonate explosives for quarry operations
- Inspect blast areas and ensure compliance with safety regulations
- Calculate and prepare blast patterns for optimal material fragmentation
- Operate and maintain blasting equipment and related tools
- Collaborate with team members to coordinate blasting schedules
What Are We Looking For
- Demonstrated ability to work safely and follow strict safety protocols
- Strong understanding of blasting techniques and quarry operations
- Capability to read and interpret technical plans and measurements
- Effective communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to adapt to changing priorities and work independently
Conditions of Employment
- Successful candidate must submit to post-offer pre-employment physical examination, drug/alcohol screen, and background check
- Some positions require FMCSA regulated ongoing drug and alcohol testing
Work Environment
- Role operates primarily in environments where the conditions include moving mechanical equipment, inclement weather, heat, cold, humidity, and elevated noise level
