This role is at Spirit AeroSystems, Inc. a wholly owned subsidiary of The Boeing Company, supporting Spirit’s Commercial Business Units (“Spirit Commercial”). Spirit Commercial designs and builds commercial aerostructures, including for Boeing Commercial Airplanes, one of Boeing’s three business units and the premier manufacturer of commercial jetliners for decades. Spirit Commercial’s core products include fuselages, pylons, nacelles and wing components, with a focus on innovative composite and aluminum manufacturing solutions.
Boeing Engineering Team will be holding pre-scheduled Interviews for experienced engineers on Saturday, February 28, 2025. Candidates must pre-register and submit an application by Thursday, February 11th, 2025. All applications will be screened to ensure:
- 2 or more years’ experience working in engineering
- ABET accreditation and alignment with Engineering needs
- Qualified candidates will be contacted with their scheduled interview time, event location, and next steps
What You’ll Do:
As part of our Engineering team, you may support areas such as:
- Material Review Engineering (Liaison) – Supporting manufacturing with solutions for repairs, reworks, and non-conformances.
- Stress Engineering – Performing structural analysis for metallic and composite parts to ensure airworthiness and compliance.
- Design Engineering – Developing and implementing design solutions for aerostructures.
- Propulsion Analysis Engineering - Performing thermal, pressure, and aerodynamic analysis.
- Material and Process Engineering - Support production ensuring compliance to customer specifications and procurement.
- Research and Development Engineering - Develop innovative technologies for current and future needs
Responsibilities may include:
- Creating and approving engineering solutions for production and repair.
- Performing stress analysis and structural assessments for airframe components.
- Collaborating with Design, Stress, Manufacturing, and Quality teams to ensure safe and efficient results.
- Supporting continuous improvement and maintaining compliance with Spirit engineering methods and industry regulations.
This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at the Wichita, KS location.
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
- Bachelor of Science in Engineering (Aerospace, Civil, Mechanical, or related disciplines) or other related course of study obtained from an ABET accredited Engineering program or equivalent international accreditation
- Associate Engineer (Level 2): 2+ years working as an engineer in a related field
- Mid-Level Engineer (Level 3): 5+ years working as an engineer in a related field
- Senior Engineer (Level 4): 10+ years working as an engineer in a related field
- Experience in material review board, structural design and/or analysis of metallic, composite structures, or manufacturing processes
- Strong computer background including engineering applications (e.g., CATIA, FEM tools) and Microsoft Office Suite

Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.
Summary Pay Range - Associate Engineer (Level 2): $76,250 - $116,900
Summary Pay Range - Mid-Level Engineer (Level 3): $89,500 - $137,250
Summary Pay Range - Senior Level (Level 4): $115,750 - $177,500
