Senior Salesforce Team Lead – Job Description
Position Overview
The Senior Salesforce Team Lead is responsible for overseeing the design, development, and optimization of the organization’s Salesforce ecosystem. This role blends hands-on technical expertise with leadership responsibilities—guiding a team of Salesforce administrators, developers, and analysts to deliver scalable, high-quality CRM solutions that support business strategy and operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities
Leadership & Management
- Lead, mentor, and support a cross-functional Salesforce team (admins, developers, analysts).
- Work with Project Manager to oversee workload planning, sprint management, and task prioritization.
- Work with Technical Lead to establish best practices and enforce coding, configuration, and documentation standards.
- Drive continuous improvement through training, performance reviews, and career development planning.
Technical Ownership
- Liaise with Technical team for Salesforce implementations and enhancements.
- Translate business needs into scalable solutions across Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, Experience Cloud, and custom applications.
- Oversee system configuration, custom development, integrations, and data model design.
- Ensure platform stability, scalability, and security while staying aligned with Salesforce releases and new capabilities.
Project & Stakeholder Management
- Work with Project Manager to partner with business stakeholders to gather requirements, define scope, and deliver solutions.
- Work with Project Manager to manage and prioritize a backlog of enhancements, defects, and requests.
- Lead technical design sessions and provide expert guidance on solutioning and architecture.
- Oversee communication of project status, risks, and technical decisions to leadership and cross-functional teams.
Governance & Quality
- Learn and enforce change management processes.
- Maintain compliance with security policies, data governance standards, and regulatory requirements.
- Participate in code reviews, QA oversight, and release management.
Required Qualifications
- 6–10+ years of hands-on Salesforce experience (Admin + Development + Architecture).
- 2–4 years leading Salesforce teams or managing technical resources.
- Strong expertise with Apex, Lightning Web Components, Flow, SOQL, and API integrations.
- Demonstrated experience with complex Salesforce environments, multi-cloud implementations, and integrations.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to translate technical concepts for non-technical stakeholders.
- Certifications strongly preferred (e.g., Salesforce Certified Administrator, Advanced Admin, Platform Developer I/II, Platform App Builder, Sales/Service Cloud Consultant, Application Architect).
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Git and GitHub.
- Background in Agile or Scrum methodologies.
- Experience integrating Salesforce with ERP, marketing automation tools, or custom external systems.
- Prior ownership of governance frameworks or Salesforce Center of Excellence processes.

Salary
This position offers a salary range of $100,000 to $120,000 annually, commensurate with experience.
