We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Scientist to join our Analytical Development team for a 12-month onsite assignment. This is a critical role within the Biotech/Pharmaceutical space, focusing on the characterization and testing of small molecule API and drug products, including work with potent compounds. You will join a high-energy, collaborative laboratory environment where you will bridge the gap between complex method development and routine analytical testing. This position is ideal for a self-motivated professional who thrives under aggressive timelines and is looking to apply advanced separation techniques to drive drug development forward.

Responsibilities
- Lead analytical method development and perform routine laboratory testing using advanced biochemical and separation methods.
- Execute hands-on analysis using HPLC/UPLC (including SEC, HIC, IEX, and RP) and Capillary Electrophoresis (CE/cIEF).
- Utilize specialized detection tools such as MALS, RI, UV, and CAD to characterize complex molecular profiles.
- Manage the end-to-end data lifecycle, including processing, documentation, and reporting within Empower or 32 Carat software.
- Perform instrument maintenance, monitoring, and troubleshooting, including minor repairs and tracking of laboratory equipment.
- Prepare essential documents, maintain accurate electronic notebooks, and conduct thorough scientific data reviews.
- Coordinate reagent preparation and maintain a safe, clean, and compliant laboratory environment according to company policies.
- Collaborate cross-functionally to deliver complex objectives while adapting to a rapidly changing, fast-paced environment.
Education
- Ph.D. in Analytical Chemistry, Chemistry, Biochemistry, or a related field.
- M.S. in a related scientific field.
- B.S. in a related scientific field.
Experience
- Chromatography (HPLC / UPLC – reverse phase and SEC) or CE(Capillary electrophoresis) experience
- Hands on experience and in-depth knowledge with laboratory techniques such as HPLC/UPLC (including SEC, HIC, IEX, and RP), CE, cIEF, Simple Western.
- Candidates with small molecule API or drug product HPLC/UPLC experience would be most desirable.
- Strong computer, scientific, and organizational skills
