ABOUT THE ROLE:
NBCUniversal is seeking a dynamic and strategic Manager, Business Solutions to join our Studio Distribution Technical Operations team. This role is a critical partner to our Global Digital Distribution business and other related functions responsible for delivering film and television content to consumers across digital platforms.
As a key member of the team, you will collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to define and execute technology roadmaps, lead a team focused on product management and business solutions delivery, and oversee the global application portfolio that supports digital sales and distribution operations.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Lead as product manager and mentor a team of product owners, project managers, and business analysts responsible for driving business requirements, analyzing data and processes, and creating work products that lead to the implementation of technical solutions that drive efficiency and innovation
- Manage the Digital Distribution technology and application roadmaps, incorporating new business needs and product solutions in collaboration with business stakeholders and technology partners
- Manage the product lifecycle of global applications supporting digital distribution, these could include the following:
- Projects for implementing and/or developing new solutions, or supporting and enhancing existing systems including Salesforce, Airtable, AWS, and Smartsheets
- Maintenance projects for technology upgrades, infrastructure migrations, etc
- Oversee product strategy and vision in addition to project budget, scope and resources, review proposals and statements of work, and lead 3rd party solution providers to ensure platforms are maintained and technology deliverables meet business needs
- Ensure high-quality delivery of solutions through agile methodologies, continuous improvement, and stakeholder engagement
Qualifications
REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent experience
- Minimum 2 or more years of functional and/or people management experience
- Minimum 5+ years of solid hands-on experience with Salesforce.com
- Minimum 5+ years of experience in product, project or program management
- Minimum 7+ years of experience developing technology solutions to address business needs, applying software disciplines, with a strong understanding of software development
- Minimum 7+ years of experience in application production support, change management processes and have a structured approach to troubleshooting issues and bug fixes
- High overall understanding of technology, including but not limited to system architecture, infrastructure, integration, software development processes, and security technologies
- Strong ability to perform analysis of small to medium complex business, workflow, and technology issues to support decision-making
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with ability to utilize technology to create innovative solutions
- Must be willing to work in the Universal City office
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Experience in Global Media & Entertainment industry
- Travel mobility
- Experience of Distribution business and solutions
- Experience with the broader media and entertainment industry with an understanding of the digital landscape as well as the drivers influencing consumer behaviors
- Experience with Finance platforms/ERP, and related reporting tools
- Demonstrate ability to work under pressure & to tight deadlines
- Be a dynamic Team player, but also able to work with minimum supervision
- Demonstrate high level of personal responsibility & integrity
- Demonstrate excellent time-management skills & results driven focus
- Understand how to share information effectively in a cross-functional environment
This position has been designated as hybrid, which currently requires contributing from the office a minimum of four days per week. The Company reserves the right to change in-office requirements at any time.
This position is eligible for company sponsored benefits, including medical, dental and vision insurance, 401(k), paid leave, tuition reimbursement, and a variety of other discounts and perks.
