In this role, you will help customers solve their more demanding challenges via technology, modernization, and transformation processes, and proven methods and solutions. As part of a creative, forward-thinking team, you will help direct solutions to make the world safer, healthier, and more efficient. As the Senior Director over our Solution Architects and Solutions Strategy, you will work with business development, research and development teams, and other subject matter experts to develop optimal and differentiated Leidos solutions to be delivered on programs, in proposals, or on research and development projects. In addition to directing solutions, you will help prospective customers and partners understand the value and benefits of the Leidos solution, explain technical features and transformation strategies, engage in proof of concepts, and troubleshoot potential problems.
Responsibilities, but not limited to:
- In coordination with program teams and CABA leadership, you will manage a team responsible for identifying technology and solution roadmaps to improve Full Cyber Capabilities, Signals Intelligence Innovation, Cryptographic Modernization, Quantum, and Mission IT domains resulting in increased contract growth and improved customer satisfaction
- Enhance Leidos best practices, lessons learned, and technological approaches to research, design, and develop innovative solutions to support operational cyber missions
- Partner with the Business Development team to support new business strategies, including the development of technical solutions, basis of estimates, white papers, industry relationships, and responses to RFIs and RFPs
- Support the Business Development team with customer calls and the Leidos’ corporate business development process for larger opportunities
- Strengthen existing programs with application of technology and/or innovation by working with peer Business Area teams, CTOs, and other Leidos Sectors, and by leveraging known technology and solutions on current programs and new business
- Understand competitor and teammate technology
- Assess and mentor the technical talent and solution architects in the organization to meet the current and future (new market) business
Basic Qualifications
- Experience as a technical leader on government contracts.
- Awareness of leading technology capability providers that enhance our technical solutions
- Experience as a solution architect and/or technical volume lead on captures and proposals
- Experience articulating complex technical concepts to customers, business development, program delivery, technical teams, and executives, both orally and in writing
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or other STEM discipline with 17+ years of experience related to software development and/or systems engineering. Additional years of relevant experience will be considered.
- US citizen with an active TS/SCI security clearance
Preferred Qualifications
- Record of generating business growth through insertion of innovation and technology on existing programs
- Prior experience as lead SA on a $500M+ proposal
- Experience having worked successful partnerships with suppliers on proposals
- Understanding of competitor/teammate technology offerings
- Record of attracting and retaining technical professionals
- Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or other STEM discipline

Pay Range:
Pay Range $154,050.00 - $278,475.00
