Your Main Objective:
The primary responsibility for this position is to support the PURPLESTREAK CORNERPIPE tool by developing new technical documentation and maintenance of current technical documentation for the tool. The experienced Technical Writer will be responsible for working with the newly refreshed version of the CORNERPIPE tool to provide as a priority a new end user guide and quick reference guide. The candidate should have exceptional written and oral communications, including experience writing formal documentation for government contract data requirement list (CDRLs), maintaining the program CDRLs required with each quarterly release deliverable, and enforcing standards and procedures for program documents and records. The Technical Writer will also establish and maintain program data repositories and version control, and work with team members including the program, software development and test managers.
Basic Responsibilities/Qualifications:
- Technical Proficiency: Experience preparing, reviewing, editing, certifying, and controlling technical documents to include familiarity with applicable programs and applications. Excellent written and oral communication skills, Ability to effectively work across teams and under strict deadlines. Comfortable using publishing and word processing applications on both Windows operating systems and in Confluence/JIRA. Experience developing illustrations for technical documents, experience revising and editing illustrations for documents, experience formatting technical documents. Ability to work independently and within a team environment. Be highly organized and detail oriented.
- Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree and minimum of eight (8) to twelve (12) years of experience in document management and technical editing or prior relevant experience or a master’s with six (6) to ten (10) years of prior relevant experience.
- Security Clearance Requirement: Candidates must possess active TS/SCI clearance with the ability to obtain a CI Polygraph.
- You may also have: Experience preparing, reviewing, editing, certifying, and controlling technical documents to include familiarity with documents such as:
- 1. User’s Guide / Quick Start Guide
- 2. SW Development and SW Installation documentation
- 3. Training/user aides
- 4. Test Documentation
- 5. Monthly reports
- 6. Customer Briefings
• Experience with creating automated documentation and training
• Experience with Markdown

Pay Range $82,550.00 - $149,225.00
