Overview
The Project Manager of Grounds Services is responsible for planning, coordinating, and overseeing grounds and landscape operations across one or multiple properties. This role ensures that exterior environments are safe, well‑maintained, visually appealing, and compliant with organizational standards, budgets, and environmental regulations. The Project Manager works closely with internal teams, contractors, and clients to deliver consistent service quality while leading operational teams effectively.
Compensation: $60,000.00 annual salary (US Dollars)
The pay listed is the salary range for this position. Any specific offer will vary based on the successful applicant’s education, experience, skills, abilities, geographic location, and alignment with market data. You may be eligible to participate in a Company incentive or bonus program
401(k) – You become eligible to make personal contributions beginning the first of the month following 30 days of employment. Key Responsibilities - Manage day‑to‑day grounds and landscape operations across assigned sites, including maintenance, seasonal services, and special projects.
- Develop project plans that define staffing levels, schedules, scopes of work, and resource allocation.
- Supervise grounds supervisors, crew leads, and landscaping staff, providing training, coaching, and performance feedback.
- Conduct regular site inspections to ensure turf, landscaping, hardscapes, irrigation systems, and exterior areas meet quality and safety standards.
- Coordinate seasonal programs such as mowing, fertilization, pruning, mulching, irrigation, snow removal, and storm response as applicable.
- Manage vendor relationships and service contracts for landscaping, tree care, irrigation, and snow or ice management.
- Oversee project budgets, labor costs, equipment usage, and material expenditures to meet financial goals.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations, environmental standards, and company policies.
- Address client requests, service issues, and escalation items in a timely and professional manner.
- Prepare operational reports, performance metrics, and project updates for leadership and clients.
Qualifications - Previous experience managing grounds, landscaping, or exterior maintenance operations.
- Strong leadership and team‑management capabilities.
- Knowledge of landscape maintenance practices, equipment, irrigation systems, and seasonal programs.
- Ability to manage multiple sites or projects simultaneously.
- Experience with scheduling, workforce management, and budget oversight.
- Strong communication, organizational, and customer‑service skills.
- Proficiency with scheduling systems, reporting tools, and Microsoft Office.
- Flexibility to work non‑standard hours as required by seasonal or weather‑related needs.
