The Production Assistant position is responsible for supporting the production needs of all Producers, Associate Producers and Editors in the ESPN Marketing Grande & Leonard internal creative production group. In addition, as needed, the candidate is expected to interface and support other internal or external partners for the successful completion of assigned projects.
Responsibilities:
Supports all Producers during every phase of their production
Researches & clips videos using Esearch, Volicon or specialty shot footage
Performs some light editing on our internal Adobe Premiere system to prepare clips, presentations, and content for internal/external clients
Helps Producers traffic materials and schedule edit sessions with external editing facilities
Assists Producers with file transfers and approval links for completed work
Ensures the internal storage of all completed spots are systematically catalogued
Communicates closely with Brand & Sales teams and Media Operations to ensure that assignments are accurate and delivered on time
Coordinates materials requests for all other internal or external clients
Provides support to other functions, departments, and coworkers where needed
Qualifications:
Minimum of 1 year in the television/film production business, preferably at a network or production facility
Basic knowledge of editing software, digital media formats and the methods of television production
Some experience with video cameras, lighting, audio or other production equipment
Basic knowledge of production server environment
Interest and knowledge of sports, both professional and collegiate
Interest in the creative aspects of advertising and film/television
Collaborative, team-oriented and comfortable in a group atmosphere
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with Adobe Premiere, After Effects, Illustrator, and Photoshop editing and graphics software
Knowledge and understanding of the ESPN Brand and the sports television industry
Knowledge and passion for hockey/NHL strongly preferred
Ability to handle multiple tasks in a highly pressurized environment
Willingness and ability to work days, night, weekends and holidays

The hiring range for this position in New York, NY is $46,800.00-$62,700.00 per year based on a 40 hour work week. The amount of hours scheduled per week may vary based on business needs. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate’s geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
