KBR is seeking a highly motivated System Engineer to support our customer's acquisition office. The Office provides innovative technology solutions that enable the customer to meet near and emerging national and defense intelligence needs through the development and operations of technology demonstrations, prototypes, and new systems that guide revolutionary change. The successful candidate will be able to grasp technical concepts and translate those concepts into requirements to guide system development, CONOPs, and program baseline documentation.

Key Responsibilities:
Assess the technical and programmatic development of Ground systems, subsystems, units, and CONOPs.
System Engineering with focus on Requirements, Mission Capability Statements, and ICD Development.
Support technical planning, generation of technical requirements for demonstration program phase and demonstration transition to operations.
Support the customer in determining future needs and requirements using Agile process.
Support development of technical evaluation criteria and checklists for contractor demonstrations and milestone reviews leading to Acquisition Milestone approval.
Lead/coordinate technical engagements with multiple developers and user community.
Facilitate demonstration execution and program office evaluations.
Support RFP/SOW and requirement development for Major System Acquisition contract and readiness milestone activities.
Support the COTR in programmatic and contractual decision-making for best value to the Government as well as manage post-award contract to include review of CDRLs for sufficiency and accuracy and generate ECPs.
Lead System-level trade studies.

Qualifications:
Required:
Active/Current TS/SCI with Polygraph clearance required.
B.S. or greater with a STEM degree.
6 or more years relevant technical experience.
Exposure to the system design trade process, assessing system design options, analyzing mission requirements, monitoring system development, test development/execution.
Experience supporting Space Vehicle IPT, or equivalent organization, on a development program.
Experience in Agile development processes.
Experience in acquisition source selection and down-select and/or demonstration phase execution.
Desired:
5+ years’ experience with customer ground systems acquisition and/or sustainment.
Understanding of systems engineering, acquisition, and operations best practices.
Contract execution oversight of technical performance.
