As a key member of a GM Brand’s Marketing team, the Product Information Specialist will serve as a trusted advisor to Product Marketing Managers, driving accuracy, consistency, and strategic alignment across all customer-facing and dealer-facing content. This role demands strong judgment, cross-functional collaboration, and proactive problem-solving to influence marketing initiatives and ensure brand integrity.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead content accuracy and messaging strategy across digital, social, CRM, print, retail, and brochure assets for assigned vehicle nameplates.

Exercise independent judgment to review, approve, and provide strategic feedback on all content and training materials.

Collaborate cross-functionally with Product Marketing, Engineering, Safety, Legal, and Design to develop marketing claims and resolve compliance concerns.

Drive process improvements by identifying gaps in asset development workflows and recommending solutions.

Manage complex data integration for UDM and CGI reviews, ensuring timely and accurate delivery.

Lead annual model-year asset audits and provide direction for updates.

Champion asset governance through GM AssetIQ integration and GM AssetIQ audits.

Own marketing fleet operations, optimizing utilization and implementing best practices

Fully integrate into the assigned marketing team

Embrace utilization of GM data systems and become a skilled user of NVCS

Influence strategic decisions by participating in the Global Naming Council and contributing insights

Embrace change and leverage new technology (e.g. AI tools) to improve operational efficiency and effectiveness
Required Qualifications:

2+ years of relevant experience in product information, marketing, or related fields.

Bachelor’s degree required - in marketing, communications, or automotive industry disciplines preferred.

Proven ability to work independently within broad guidelines, handling non-routine challenges and driving cross-team initiatives.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a track record of proposing innovative solutions and anticipating business needs.

Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint) and familiarity with enterprise asset management systems.

Excellent communication skills with the ability to adapt style for diverse audiences and influence decisions across functions.

This role may require the candidate to occasionally work from local GM or partner sites, and may require <5% travel.
