The Data Science Specialist will work in a team to develop and implement Artificial Intelligence based solutions across various disciplines in GE Aerospace under the guidance of senior team members. In this role, as part of the Data Science & AI team, the candidate will contribute to the development and deployment of modern machine learning, artificial intelligence, statistical & probabilistic methods, operations research, semantic analysis etc. for finding structure in large data sets within the Finance domain of GE Aerospace.

Role Overview
The Data Scientist will be responsible to work on data science projects under the supervision of senior team members and deliver business outcomes. Key responsibilities include –
Development of data science models, including artificial intelligence and machine learning.
Work alongside data scientists, data engineers, software developers, program managers, product owners and functional stakeholders to translate algorithms into viable products and services.
Work in technical teams in development, deployment, and application of artificial intelligence, machine learning, applied analytics, predictive analytics, and prescriptive analytics.
Perform exploratory and targeted data analysis using descriptive statistics and other methods.
Generate reports, annotated code, and other projects artifacts to document, archive, and communicate the work and outcomes.
Share and discuss findings with team members.
The Ideal Candidate:
Required Qualifications:
B.Tech / B.E. or an equivalent Bachelor's degree in Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Computer Science, Applied Statistics or a related field
Proficiency in Python (mandatory).
Demonstrated skill and hands-on experience of implementing GenAI solutions (including including fine-tuning, prompt engineering, and leveraging pre-trained models).
Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Databricks etc.) and their AI/ML services.
Demonstrated skill in data quality assessment, data cleaning & pre-processing.
Demonstrated skill in the use of artificial intelligence, machine learning and applied analytics methods for solving business problems.
Demonstrated skill in data visualization and storytelling for an audience of stakeholders.
Has a basic understanding & awareness of GE Aerospace business and how the solutions they are developing create value.
Has a basic understanding & awareness of Finance functions (across domains of FP&A, Controllership, Treasury, Tax, Risk, Cost Management etc.) and how to implement AI solutions for these domains.
