We need a seasoned Aircraft Maintenance Systems Engineer who can provide hands‑on field technical support, ensure avionics readiness, and drive rapid problem resolution for our mission‑critical aircraft.
***This position will require training of approx. 6-12 months on a TDY to Owego, NY location. Upon completion of training, the permanent position will based in Amarillo, TX.*** First assignment will be TDY to:

Primary Responsibilities:
- Inspect, analyze, troubleshoot, and maintain aircraft avionics systems
- Inspect, analyze, troubleshoot, and maintain associated aircraft avionics components, subsystems, and test equipment
- Solve maintenance problems using wiring diagrams, schematic diagrams, technical orders, and performed time compliance technical orders, time changes, and one-time inspections
- Perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance
- Complete aircraft and equipment forms and Maintenance Information System documentation
- 30% travel is expected for this position.

- at least 5 years of Aircraft Avionics systems experience
- Solid avionics hardware trouble shooting skills
- Strong customer interface
Knowledge and ability to use wiring diagrams, schematic diagrams, technical orders, and performed time compliance technical orders, time changes, and one-time inspections
- Must be able to travel on TDY to Owego, NY site for approx. 6 - 12 months for required training at start of employment.

Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
