The Role
GEOS Digital Transformation is seeking an innovative and systems‑minded Digital Ecosystems Architect to design, orchestrate, and optimize the interconnected digital capabilities that power GM’s enterprise ecosystem. This role is responsible for defining the architecture, integration patterns, and strategy for authoritative sources of truth that enable seamless data, platform, and service interoperability across the organization. The candidate will shape the future of GM’s digital ecosystem by driving cross‑functional alignment, ensuring architectural coherence, and enabling scalable, secure, and future‑ready digital experiences through the establishment of a current state, future state and transitional state roadmaps that will be leveraged to drive a multi-year transformation roadmap and project portfolio.
What You’ll Do (Responsibilities)
Enterprise Ecosystem Architecture

Define the end‑to‑end architecture for GM’s digital ecosystem, spanning platforms, data flows, APIs, and integration frameworks.

Establish architectural principles, standards, and patterns that ensure interoperability, scalability, and resilience.

Evaluate emerging technologies and ecosystem models to guide long‑term digital strategy.
Platform & Integration Strategy

Architect and optimize the connections between enterprise platforms, digital products, and partner systems.

Lead the design of API strategies, event‑driven architectures, and shared services that enable frictionless data and capability exchange.

Ensure alignment between platform roadmaps and enterprise ecosystem needs.
Cross‑Functional Collaboration & Influence

Partner with engineering, product, data, and business teams to ensure ecosystem architecture supports strategic priorities and business strategic goals.

Facilitate alignment across technical and non‑technical stakeholders, translating complex architecture into clear business value.

Guide teams in adopting ecosystem‑aligned design patterns and integration best practices.
Governance, Security & Lifecycle Management

Establish governance models for ecosystem components, including APIs, data contracts, and integration assets.

Ensure compliance with enterprise security, privacy, and regulatory requirements.

Oversee lifecycle management of ecosystem services, ensuring reliability and continuous improvement.
Your Skills & Abilities ( Required Qualifications)

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or related field.

8+ years of experience in enterprise architecture, integration architecture, or digital platform engineering.

Expertise in Enterprise Architecture and architecture frameworks and Application architecture.

Proven ability to lead cross‑functional architectural initiatives in complex, matrixed environments.

Exceptional communication, systems thinking, and stakeholder influence skills.
What Can Give You a Competitive Edge (Preferred Qualifications)

12+ years of experience in enterprise architecture, integration architecture, or digital platform engineering.
