Raytheon has an opportunity for an energetic and motivated intern in Chemical and Materials Engineering in the Raytheon Vision Systems (RVS) group in Lompoc, CA. An internship in Chemical and Materials Engineering will allow for broad exposure to semiconductor and microfabrication processes used to fabricate Silicon PIN and 3DHI processes on 200mm wafers.
The ideal candidate should have strong academic credentials and experience in working in a teamwork environment, having not only academic, but also interpersonal skills to help optimize our teams. Additionally, the candidate should possess an inquisitive nature and a strong desire to learn real world applications to complement their academic experience.
This position is a onsite role, in Lompoc, California.
What You Will Do

You will support a multi-disciplinary engineering team by performing tasks such as engineering planning, data and failure analysis and process development for the microfabrication of products manufactured by the RVS group in Lompoc. You will collaborate with process development and operations and manufacturing teams.
Qualifications You Must Have

This position is for an intern who is enrolled in a Bachelor’s (or higher) degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) program and will be at minimum, entering their Junior Year by the start of Summer 2026

The salary range for this role is 37,000 USD - 82,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
