Job Description The Financial Accounting analyst is responsible for maintaining accurate accounting records, preparing financial entries, and reconciling accounts. This position requires conducting daily reviews of monetary activities, assisting with the period-end reporting process, and working closely with both internal departments and external stakeholders to address accounting matters. The successful candidate will demonstrate excellent analytical capabilities, meticulous attention to detail, and the capacity to perform effectively in a dynamic and fast-moving setting. Responsibilities include: Perform daily balancing and reconciliation of financial transactions and record entries to the General Ledger Prepare and review accounting entries and account reconciliations. Support month-end close activities, ensuring accuracy and timeliness. Collaborate with the wider finance team, and other business lines to resolve incidents and analyse financial data. Maintain and periodically update process documentation and procedures. Respond promptly and accurately to queries regarding accounting policies, procedures, and issues. Prepare and develop reports for management to support decision-making. Identify opportunities for process improvements and automation and drive enhancements from ideation to implementation. Assist in preparing financial statements and reports, as needed. Basic Qualifications Bachelor's degree, or equivalent work experience 3-4 years of experience in a finance role Key Skills Thorough knowledge of accounting principles, reporting, and analysis. Ability to identify and resolve exceptions and interpret financial data accurately. Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail and accuracy. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint). Effective verbal and written communication skills. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships across teams. Confidence in learning and embracing innovative technologies to improve processes. Experience with Workday (preferred but not essential). Location expectations This role requires working from a U.S. Bank location three (3) or more days per week.
