In this hands-on role, you’ll play a crucial part in assembling, maintaining, and troubleshooting advanced test equipment that supports critical aerospace systems. Collins Aerospace Civil Space Systems is searching for energetic and highly motivated candidate for its Onsite Johnson Space Center Lab Operations Organization. The selected candidate will be a member of the Operations team, completing tasks ranging from test stand maintenance, sampling, flow bench sampling, daily lab maintenance and support of critical life support systems and ISS flight hardware. Experience with test equipment, nitrogen and water purity requirements and chamber test operations is preferred. Safe handling and transportation of critical flight hardware will be part of the daily responsibilities of this position.
Candidates must exhibit a high degree of initiative and sound judgment, working independently and as a member of the SSSL Team. It is essential the successful candidate be capable of adapting to changing conditions and work cooperatively in a team environment.
This is an Onsite position that is in Houston TX.
What You Will Do:

Test Stand Maintenance and sampling

Maintenance of metrology and calibration assets

Maintenance of clean room facilities

FOD Control and EH&S Compliance

Audit Support and Discrepancy Resolution

Effective communication of job status to intended customers and supervision

Facilitates and directs scheduling activities to ensure smooth operations and optimal use of facilities as required

Will require frequent interface with various customers

Expected travel less than 10%
Qualifications You Must Have:
-
Typically requires an AA/AS degree (or other 2-year post high school training) with a minimum of 10 years of relevant experience. Certification may be required for technical support roles

Prior experience in clean room lab operations and Space Flight hardware processing requirements
Qualifications We Prefer:
-
Previous experience with test equipment, nitrogen and water purity requirements, and chamber test operations is preferred

Previous experience in aerospace industry is preferred

Bachelor’s degree in engineering, operations, or technology

Prior Military experience is a plus

The salary range for this role is 66,800 USD - 127,200 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
