Job Description Summary
The Military DoD SkillBridge program is an opportunity for Service members to gain valuable civilian work experience through specific industry training, apprenticeships, or internships during the last 180 days of service. SkillBridge connects Service members with industry partners in real-world job experiences under Dept. of Defense Instruction 1322.29. Separating Service members can be granted up to 180 days of permissive duty to focus solely on training full-time with approved industry partners after unit commander (first O-4/Field Grade commander in chain of command) provides written authorization and approval. GE Aerospace as a SkillBridge partner offers real-world training and work experience in in-demand fields of work while having the opportunity to evaluate the Service member’s suitability for the work. Military DoD SkillBridge participants are not eligible for compensation from GE Aerospace, as they continue to receive military compensation and benefits as active-duty service members.
Job Description
Come join the Supply Chain Operations team that is at the heart of operations for the GE Aerospace Supply Chain! This team is responsible driving organizational transformation to improve outcomes for our employees, customers, and shareholders. Org scope will span across processes, standards, operations, cadences, project management, learning & development and digital capability for the Supply Chain. Our organization will own the end-to-end Value Stream Map for the operations portion of the Commercial Engines and Services org, as organized by three teams: Materials, Procurement & Supplier Management (PSM), and Integrated Manufacturing (IM); all linked heavily to GE Aerospace enterprise value stream.
- Execution ... will be responsible for execution of the Materials learning strategy, as part of the greater Supply Chain L&D strategy, to ensure alignment with organizational goals, industry standards and compliance needs.
- Training Curriculum ... execute a gap analysis of existing training to learn current state, and inform the development of future state. Review and improve relevant competency models to support the gap analysis.
- Industry Standard Benchmarking ... support assessment of relevant industry standard certifications and training programs and support roll out where appropriate. Examples could include APICS CPIM, APICS CSCP, CPSM, PMP, CPSD, CLTD, etc.
- Delivery Methods ... using guidance, determine the various methods for delivering learning, what is used when, and opportunities to embed learning into the flow of work.
- Assessment and Evaluation ... Inform the measurement strategy, measure training effectiveness, develop feedback mechanisms.
- Knowledge Management ... support development of, and manage, the centralized repository for training materials, best practices, lessons learned.
- Partnerships and Collaborations ... Collaborate with universities, industry associations, and certification bodies.
- Utilizes expertise and judgement to solve problems, leveraging skills and analytic thinking as required. Uses multiple internal and external resources outside of own function to help arrive at a decision.
- Collaborates with others to consider different points of view and gain buy-in across the organization. Influences peers for support and may negotiate with vendors and partners, as required.
Required Qualifications
- Active Military personnel on their last 180 days of Military service
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or college (or a high school diploma / GED with at least 3 years of Learning & Development experience)
- Minimum of 3 years of Learning & Development, Training execution and development, or Instructing experience

This role requires access to U.S. export-controlled information.
