Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and strategic Procurement Manager to lead our procurement operations and supply chain initiatives. The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience in procurement management, contract negotiation, and supplier management within manufacturing or logistics environments. This role requires a deep understanding of ERP systems such as SAP and Oracle EBS, along with expertise in sourcing, category management, and production planning. The Procurement Manager will play a critical role in optimizing procurement processes, ensuring quality standards, and maintaining compliance with federal regulations like the Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR). This position offers an opportunity to contribute to the efficiency and effectiveness of our supply chain operations while driving cost savings and supplier excellence.
Duties
- Develop and execute procurement strategies aligned with organizational goals, focusing on sourcing, category management, and supply chain optimization.
- Manage end-to-end procurement processes including purchasing, contract management, and materials management using ERP systems such as SAP and Oracle EBS.
- Lead negotiations with suppliers to secure favorable pricing, terms, and conditions while maintaining strong supplier relationships.
- Oversee supplier selection, evaluation, and performance management to ensure quality standards and delivery timelines are met.
- Conduct root cause analysis to identify procurement issues and implement corrective actions to improve supply chain resilience.
- Collaborate with manufacturing and production planning teams to ensure timely availability of materials and components.
- Ensure compliance with federal acquisition regulations (FAR) and internal policies during all procurement activities.
- Manage logistics, pricing strategies, and inventory levels to optimize costs while maintaining high-quality standards.
- Lead sourcing initiatives for new products or services, including market research and supplier assessment.
- Monitor procurement KPIs and prepare reports for senior management to inform strategic decision-making.
Experience
- Proven experience in procurement management within manufacturing, logistics, or supply chain environments.
- Strong knowledge of ERP systems such as SAP and Oracle EBS; experience with MRP systems is highly desirable.
- Demonstrated expertise in contract negotiation, contract management, and supplier relationship management.
- Familiarity with federal acquisition regulations (FAR), quality management systems, and logistics operations.
- Experience in category management, sourcing strategies, production planning, and materials management.
- Excellent negotiation skills coupled with the ability to conduct root cause analysis for process improvements.
- Prior experience managing procurement teams or leading cross-functional projects is preferred.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data related to pricing, supply chain metrics, and vendor performance. This role requires a proactive leader capable of managing complex procurement activities while fostering strong supplier partnerships that support organizational growth and operational excellence.
Pay: $68,361.87 - $82,328.27 per year
