You will be the Production Operations Project Lead primarily responsible for completing manufacturing qualification and successful Transfer to Production of Solid Rocket Motors for the emerging LM Solid Rocket Motor Product Center (SRM PC). The SRM PC is responsible for the design and development of propulsive solutions to support LM critical Lines of Business and emerging needs.
What You Will Be Doing
As the Production Operations Project Lead you will be responsible for leading projects and teams that are geographically and business‑area diverse. Ensuring that Production Operations meets schedule requirements to support rocket‑motor qualification IMS milestones and that we are prepared to move into the Transfer to Production phase for rate manufacturing will be a key success indicator.
- Manage build and delivery of qualification hardware across multiple sites/Business Units to support DVT and Qualification IMS.
- Support development of Transfer to Production proposal and manage execution of Production Operations commitments upon award.
- Manage multiple concurrent projects across the SRM PC and Production Operations functions and brief various levels of leadership on progress, margins, and mitigations.
- Manage and status Transition to Production IMS goals and milestones.
- Work closely with multiple sites and centers on capital planning, NRE requirements, and HRL/IOP requirements.
- Support the SRM PC efforts as we construct, equip, and place our new lab and development facilities into service.

Basic Qualifications:Prior leadership/management experience in a manufacturing environment
Prior work experience in a manufacturing environment of at least 1 year
Prior team leadership experience
Familiarity with lean manufacturing techniques
Microsoft Office suite knowledge, skills, and experience
Must be a U.S. Citizen due to facility requirements
Must be able to work 1st, 2nd or Weekend shift
Desired Skills:Completed Bachelor’s Degree
Experience working in a Union Environment
Prior leadership/management experience in a complex manufacturing environment
Experience with tracking and managing cost, quality, and schedule, in a manufacturing environment.

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 9x80 every other Friday off
