Description:You will be the Systems Engineer Staff - Level 4 for the AMMM Communication, Navigation and Sensors team which is responsible for the design, development, testing and production of avionic systems across all AMMM aircraft platforms.
What You Will Be Doing
As the Systems Engineer Staff - Level 4 you will be responsible for leading technical efforts that span communication, navigation, radar, defensive and sensor systems, while driving integration and sustainment across the Marietta site.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Define and translate customer requirements into system‑level and equipment‑level specifications.
- Plan, execute, and oversee test campaigns at both equipment and aircraft levels, delivering reliable results on schedule.
- Develop proposals, task descriptions, effort estimates, and supporting documentation for new and sustainment projects.
- Coordinate with senior leadership, suppliers, and customers to align technical solutions with program cost and schedule goals.
- Assess task priority and complexity, creating work‑around plans that keep programs on track.

• Experience with military-specific standards such as MIL-STD-1553, ARINC 429, and other military protocols.
• Direct experience or familiarity with the Department of Defense (DOD) AIMS certification process for IFF systems on military platforms.
• Knowledge of procedures for securing spectrum approval from agencies such as the FAA and the Army Spectrum Management Office (ASMO).
• Ability to develop and document technical requirements and specifications for AIMS-compliant systems

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
