Overview
ABM is hiring an experienced HVAC Tech, Tradesman to support commercial clients in and around Benicia, CA area. This is a field-based, commercial service role focused on troubleshooting, preventive maintenance, and repair of complex HVAC systems. Technicians are dispatched from home. Residential-only experience is not a fit for this role.
Benefit Information: Provided via local union 342
Union Pay: $26.00-30.00/hr. The pay listed is the salary range listed for this position. Any specific offer will vary based on the applicant’s successful education, experience, skills, abilities, geographic location, and alignment with the market data.

Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot, maintain, and repair commercial HVAC systems, including RTUs and large packaged units
- Perform preventive maintenance and service repairs for contracted customers
- Diagnose electrical and mechanical issues using industry-standard tools
- Service large-tonnage equipment (100 plus tons preferred)
- Document work performed and communicate clearly with customers
- Follow all safety procedures, codes, and company standards
Qualifications
- 5 plus years of commercial HVAC service experience
- Strong troubleshooting and PM/service background
- EPA Universal Certification required
- High school diploma or equivalent (technical/trade training preferred)
- Solid electrical and mechanical knowledge
Preferred Experience
- Large-tonnage equipment
- Air-cooled chillers (any level)
- Commercial or industrial refrigeration
Requirements
- Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record
- Must be part of the Local 250 or willing to join
- Ability to travel throughout the Tustin, CA area
- Ability to lift equipment and perform physical job duties
- Willingness to participate in on-call rotation and overtime as needed
- Pre-employment background check, drug test, and MVR required
