Description:Lockheed Martin is seeking a Electrical Engineering Intern in Grand Prairie, TX
The successful candidate will demonstrate highly innovative approaches to resolve difficult production and design issues and will be responsible for assisting production and development teams in resolving technical challenges, incorporating engineering changes, and updating drawings and assembly parts lists. The ideal candidate will also develop new designs and tooling. The candidate will support hardware operations and may provide support to engineering, manufacturing, quality, and operations, as well as supplier support.
Basic Qualifications:* Pursuing Bachelors of Science Degree from an accredited university in the field of Electrical Engineering or similar major.
* Strong knowledge of engineering principles and practices related to circuit theory. This may include experience with schematic capture & PCB layout tools (e.g., Altium Designer, Eagle, KiCad, etc.)
* Familiarity with use of electrical test equipment (multimeter, power supplies, oscilloscope, spectrum/network analyzer, signal generators, data acquisition system, etc.)
* Demonstrated successful electrical lab individual or project work.
* Must be a US citizen with the ability to obtain a security clearance.
Desired Skills:* Involvement in senior design, capstone project, research projects, or interdisciplinary work (e.g., designing a power‑converter, building a sensor system)
*Familiarity with simulation tools (LTspice, PSpice, Simulink, NI Multisim or MATLAB).
* Basic programming experience (C/C++, Python, or embedded C).
* Strong academic performance.
* Exposure to breadboarding or prototype assembly.
* Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to diagnose and troubleshoot complex electrical issues, work with system integration issues, design challenges, etc. demonstrated through hands-on experience.
* Participation in engineering clubs, competitions (e.g., SAE, ASME competitions, hackathons, etc).
* Familiarity with industry standards (IPC, IEEE, IEC)
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
* Active clearance.

Ability to Work Remotely: Part-time Remote Telework: The employee selected for this position will work part of their work schedule remotely and part of their work schedule at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. The specific weekly schedule will be discussed during the hiring process.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
