Position Summary:
The Transportation Coordinator plays a critical role in optimizing vehicle movements and transportation efficiency to support Rental, Service and other stakeholders. Designated resources are necessary to ensure critical vehicle movements are executed timely and accurately. The Transportation Coordinator helps minimize operational disruptions, optimizes resource allocation, and helps the organization achieve its operational goals. This supports customer experience by maximizing vehicle uptime and ensuring rental availability.
Major Responsibilities:
- Optimize requests from multiple departments, build trips and assign appropriate resources. Incorporate ad hoc hiking requests throughout the day.
- Oversight of process compliance. Ensuring use of all tools and technology required by hikers, rental staff, service staff and FleetNet users.
- Prioritize and resolve issues. Balance needs of parts pick-ups, sales & auction moves, service test drives, rental reservations, and hikes for vendors, customers.
- Collaborate with Branch Rental Managers (or designee) to assist with daily hiker activities, performance reviews, interviews, scheduling, and local equipment needs.
- Other projects and tasks as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree preferred. If no degree, equivalent work experience is required.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in transportation related to rental counter activities, dispatch knowledge, scheduling vehicle service and customer service regardless of degree or not – preferred

- Willingness to travel as necessary, work the required schedule, work at the specific location required, complete Penske employment application, submit to a background investigation (to include past employment, education, and criminal history) and drug screening are required.
