About the Team
The Tenant Lifecycle Engineering organisation is responsible for pushing new code to our existing customers, along with monitoring the health, performance and reliability of the Workday stack. The Public Cloud team is a specialised team within this organisation responsible for building, configuring, deploying and providing automated tooling to support the Workday application in Public Cloud.
About the Role
As we continue to build new teams and functions to support our global growth, we are looking for a manager to lead a team of engineers dedicated to delivering best in class customer experience in the Public Cloud space, primarily on AWS and GCP. Our team are the Gatekeepers for change rolling out to our Production environments, and we automate cluster build-outs, validation, patch deployment, and other operational tasks.

Basic Qualifications
- 3+ years experience leading SRE teams focused on maintaining system reliability and availability.
- 8+ years experience in software development engineering as an SRE, designing and implementing resilient infrastructure and proactively mitigating potential issues.
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline such as Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline, or equivalent practical experience.
Other Qualifications
- Experience with incident management processes and SRE project management methodologies.
- Experience managing teams working with cloud platforms, automation tools, and observability solutions such as AWS, GCP Kubernetes, Ansible, Jenkins, GIT, Argo.
- Good understanding of Agile Methodology principles and proven ability to manage SRE teams and projects using agile frameworks.
- Understanding of Continual Improvement Process principles and the ability to identify and implement improvements in SRE workflows.
- Working knowledge of Continuous Delivery concepts and their integration with SRE practices for reliable deployments.
- Good Facilitation skills for leading team meetings and discussions effectively.
- Developing Leadership skills in guiding, motivating, and directing an SRE team.
- Working knowledge of various Monitoring Tools and the ability to guide their use for effective system observability.
- Strong understanding of People Management principles for leading and developing SRE team members.
- Developing Personal Initiative in identifying and driving SRE-related opportunities and solutions.
- Proven ability to build and maintain strong Relationship Building with development and operations teams.
- Understanding of Team Performance concepts and the ability to contribute to improving team effectiveness.
- Proven ability to lead Troubleshooting efforts for system incidents.
