The Global Commodity Manager is responsible for conducting purchasing activities to support sourcing, contract and supplier management activities in line with departmental strategy and objectives. As a leader, you will provide technical guidance to the team for successful execution of commodity strategy for our indirect or direct commodities as well as lead the development of new products, processes, standards, or operational plans. You will also be responsible for leading a team, fostering employee development and training, driving performance management, and maintaining an efficient organizational structure.
What You’ll Do (Responsibilities):

Collaborate with Engineering, Logistics, Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Legal, Corporate Development and other internal partners to develop procurement strategies, clarify prerequisites and to drive cost reduction

Analyze and apply appropriate tools, i.e. cost models, benchmarking, global competitive sourcing, value chain analysis, supplier negotiations, engineering change cost containment, technical cost reduction, part/system reuse, etc.

Develop and execute capacity assessment of components to match GM demand with supplier capacity, with a focus on compliance requirements (FTAs, IRA, as applicable)
Yours Skills & Abilities (Required Qualifications):

Bachelor’s Degree

8+ years of experience in purchasing, supply chain, logistics, or program management, product development/product management

Demonstrated Negotiation, Supplier Management, Team Orientation, Informative Communication and Analytical Thinking Skills

Strategic Orientation, willingness to learn, adapt & be agile, comfort in challenging norms, dealing with ambiguity

Strong interpersonal skills with demonstrated ability to lead diverse/cross-functional teams as well as mentor, motivate and elicit work output from peers and other team members

Ability to travel 10-20% of the time Domestically + Internationally
