What You Will Be Doing
As the Design Engineer you will be responsible for translating engineering drawings and models into accurate, release‑ready data that supports the AMMM program’s schedule and quality goals.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Perform verification of completeness of engineering technical data related to AMMM (C130, C5, P3) Build‑to‑Packages (BTPs).
- Evaluate the accuracy and releasability of AMMM engineering data against LM PM‑4052 and program design standards.
- Support engineering schedule release commitments, ensuring BTPs are accurate, complete, singular in interpretation, and usable by downstream teams.
- Collaborate in a fast‑paced team environment to meet critical schedule needs while maintaining high quality.

Basic Qualifications:- Bachelor's degree in an engineering technical discipline such as Mechanical or Aeronautical; equivalent experience considered
- Prior experience with drawing and model checking, design, and engineering change process
- Knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) and ASME
Desired Skills:- Experience with CATIA
- Familiarity with AMMM (C130, C5, P3) aircraft
- Experience with AMMM engineering toolsets and processes
- PhotoShop experience
- Very detail oriented with good verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work in a collaborative, fast-paced team environment
- Proficient with Microsoft Office

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
