Lead the Dimensional Inspection Council with robust escape investigations and drive systemic inspection improvements across internal and supplier sites to drive down escapes.

Drive gap closure plans to reduce escapes and COPQ for systemic dimensional inspection escapes while aligning with existing PW Process Councils.

Lead the CMM Discipline within Advanced Metrology and across PW to ensure robust inspection methods are implemented with standard work for programming, equipment, inspection techniques and analysis.

Identify opportunities to reduce cost and improve quality by deployment of new inspection technologies and application of automation to existing inspections.

Work with PW Operations, Quality, and the Advanced Metrology team to standardize the specification and purchase of automated measurement systems and their introduction into production.

Actively evaluate and benchmark measurement technologies including multi-sensor CMMs, non-contact inspection systems, advanced sensors and gaging methods.

Support CMM programming needs in the module centers, provide expertise and standard work development.

Participate as a resource for investigations to assist various customers in Engineering, Quality, and the supply base to resolve quality and product delivery problems.

Additional assignments working with Advanced Metrology and associated Metrology Fellow and Metrology Discipline Chief.

Drive improvement in specifications and standard work across the dimensional inspection discipline and automated inspection systems.

Train and mentor practitioners in dimensional inspection.
Qualifications You Must Have:
-
Bachelors Degree or equivalent experience and minimum 10 years prior relevant experience, or An Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 7 years experience.
Qualifications We Prefer:

Metrology concentration preferred

CMM programming experience utilizing a mix of the CMM software packages: MODUS, CAMIO, CALYPSO, PC-DMIS, MCOSMOS

Strong knowledge of GD&T, drawing interpretation, and implementation of measuring systems.

Programming: Python, C++, VB.Net, etc.
-
Integration of automated systems.
-
Familiarity with REVO multi-sensor technology.

Experience with structured light scanners and analysis software such as GOM, POLYWORKS or GEOMAGIC.

Expert knowledge of GD&T and Y14.5, familiarity with Airfoil geometry.

Strong analytical skills. Understand Design of Experiments, MSA, SPC, and Gage R&R.

Aerospace experience in Engineering, Manufacturing or Quality.

Jet engine component processing.

The salary range for this role is 132,400 USD - 251,600 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
