Caterpillar’s Corporate Aftermarket Finance Services team, has an open position as an Accounting Manager. As an Accounting Manager at Caterpillar, you will manage and lead financial reporting and analysis for the Aftermarket Parts FP&A Team, provide technical expertise, and perform complex accounting work that supports business processes. This position is an excellent opportunity to learn more about Aftermarket Parts and financial analysis. You will be exposed to a variety of accounting functions and complex and/or technical analysis, review various outputs for reasonableness with upper Management, work with other accountants in our own organization, as well as across the Enterprise.
What You Will Do:
Lead management reporting, forecasting, and analysis processes.
Producing accurate and timely financial reports and analysis for internal and external use.
Estimating various forecast scenarios as needed based on changing economic conditions.
Presentation and explanation of results, forecasts, and analysis to management.
Lead Aftermarket Parts integration into Global Finance strategic initiatives, including a new financial system.
Ensuring the accounting policies and practices of the organization are followed ensuring that practices are in line with the overall goals of the organization.
Overseeing and evaluating the activities of the accounting staff and providing for their professional development.
What You Have:
Financial Reporting: Knowledge of processes, methods, and tools of financial reporting; ability to create and maintain accurate and thorough financial reports.
Financial Analysis: Knowledge of tools and approaches of financial analysis; ability to read, interpret and draw accurate conclusions from financial and numerical material.
Analytical Thinking: Knowledge of techniques and tools that promote effective analysis; ability to determine the root cause of organizational problems and create alternative solutions that resolve these problems.
Effective Communications: Understanding of effective communication concepts, tools and techniques; ability to effectively transmit, receive, and accurately interpret ideas, information, and needs through the application of appropriate communication behaviors.
Managing People: Knowledge of processes involved in managing people; ability to lead successful teams, and diligently address issues related to performance and conflicts at the workplace.
Forecasting: Tactical, Strategic: Knowledge of effective planning techniques and ability to contribute to operational (short term), tactical (1-2 years) and strategic (3-5 years) planning in support of the overall forecast.
Judgment and Decision Making: Knowledge of the decision-making process; ability to carefully evaluate the impact of emerging business situations and choose the best path forward communicating actions and activities that maximize organizational performance.
Accounting: Knowledge of accounting methods, processes, and tools; ability to maintain and prepare financial statements and reports using accounting methods and processes.

Summary Pay Range:
$147,760.00 - $221,640.00
