Plan and perform professional manufacturing engineering activities with various complexities by applying engineering design principles and product line experience.

Apply engineering principles to design, develop, test and implement various assembly fixtures and aid tools.

Prepare plan, process specifications and procedure, MRP support studies, factory cost work.

Conduct analysis and test of routine degree of complexity.

Analyze engineering data and change notices to create manufacturing bill of materials and routings for various product lines.

Implement, develop and maintain product/process improvement.

Perform root cause analysis with various teams.

Analyze and find solutions technical, operation and quality issues related to production line.

Participate in product review and evaluate manufacturability of new product designs.
Qualifications You Must Have
-
Must possess at least a bachelor’s degree or its equivalent in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering or a related field and at least 5 years of progressive experience as a Mechanical Engineer, Manufacturing Engineer or related role in an industrial manufacturing environment. In the alternative, must possess at least a master’s degree or its equivalent in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering or a related field and at least 3 years of experience as a Mechanical Engineer, Manufacturing Engineer or related role in an industrial manufacturing environment would be acceptable.

Must possess at least 3 years of experience supporting a Manufacturing Shop Floor in the Aerospace industry with use of Macola, Teamcenter and SharePoint.

Must possess at least 3 years of experience with 3D CAD design software and manufacturing drawing creation, with Expert Level Knowledge in 3D Design Tools (Solid Edge, CATIA, SOLIDWORKS).

Must possess at least 3 years of experience implementing Lean Manufacturing Principles and methodologies.

Must possess at least 3 years of experience designing assembly and testing fixtures for complex aircraft lighting products.

The salary range is $129,251.00 to $182,000.00 USD per year. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
