Duties:
- Assist attorneys in organizing and maintaining case files and documents
- Gather relevant information for cases
- Prepare and draft legal documents, such as pleadings, and correspondence
- Schedule appointments, hearings, and meetings for attorneys
- Manage and update document management systems
- Perform data entry tasks to input and update client information
- Answer phone calls and direct inquiries to the appropriate person
- Transcribe dictations and prepare accurate written records
- Proofread legal documents for accuracy and completeness
- File documents with courts and government agencies
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a legal assistant or similar role
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize work effectively
- Excellent data entry skills with attention to detail
- Proficient in using document management systems and other legal software
- Familiarity with legal terminology and procedures
- Exceptional phone etiquette and communication skills
- Strong proofreading skills to ensure accuracy of legal documents
- Knowledge of clerical and administrative tasks in a legal setting
-Prior Personal Injury experience required
