About this role:Wells Fargo is seeking a Lead Data Product Integrity Specialist within the CAO Data & Insights (DAI) organization. This role is part of the Data Product Integrity & Management (DPIM) team and is responsible for ensuring the quality, integrity, compliance, and reliability of CAO data products across their full lifecycle. The role blends data governance, data quality management, metadata stewardship, lineage oversight, defect management, and adherence to enterprise data standards. It directly supports execution of the Enterprise Data Strategy, Data Management Policy, and Data Management Procedures.
In this role, you will:1. Data Quality & Integrity Oversight- Establish, monitor, and maintain data quality metrics, thresholds, expectations, and controls.
- Perform ongoing data quality monitoring, profiling, and rule evaluation across CAO-owned data products.
- Lead and coordinate data defect identification, triage, investigation, and remediation, including root-cause analysis.
- Maintain centralized defect tracking and partner with technology, business, and upstream sources to drive resolution.
- Assess data being used for business use cases and enterprise consumption to ensure it is being properly protected
2. Metadata, Lineage, and Standards Governance- Develop, document, and maintain CAO metadata, including business definitions, schema, data dictionaries, and required lineage assets.
- Maintain master data lineage, ensuring end-to-end transparency from source to CAO consumption layers.
- Ensure metadata accuracy and completeness for onboarding, release cycles, and cross-domain consumption.
- Partner with the Data Standards Specialists to align schemas, logical models, and delivery patterns to CAO and enterprise standards.
3. Enterprise Data Controls, Policy Adherence & Governance Operations- Ensure all CAO data products comply with:
- Data Management Policy
- Data Management Procedures
- Data privacy, retention, and permissible use requirements
- Support RCSA-aligned data management controls, including testing evidence and remediation activities.
- Facilitate and support data governance peer review routines and issue escalations.
- Maintain data sharing agreements, ensuring appropriate access, entitlements, and documentation.
4. Data Product Lifecycle Support- Support data product onboarding, intake assessments, and pre-commitment readiness.
- Participate in agile ceremonies, coordinating with Product Managers, Product Owners, and Technology partners as needed.
- Contribute to release planning, execution validation, and production verification for data deliveries.
- Partner with DPIM's Data Operations team on intake triage, communications, and release coordination.
5. Cross-Functional Partnership & Leadership- Collaborate with Data Product Managers, Product Owners, Data Analysts, Technology teams, and upstream data providers (HR, Corp Sec, IT, etc.).
- Serve as a subject matter expert on:
- data quality
- lineage
- metadata
- defect management
- data standards
- Provide data governance guidance to project teams, auditors, risk partners, and compliance stakeholders.

Required Qualifications:- 5+ years of experience in data governance, data quality, data management, or data operations, or equivalent (work experience, training, military, education).
Desired Qualifications:- Experience executing against enterprise data governance frameworks (RCSA, control testing, lineage, metadata stewardship).
- Hands-on experience with metadata management, lineage documentation, data quality tooling, and data standards.
- Familiarity with industry common practice Data Management Policy & Procedures.
- Experience supporting data product lifecycle, agile delivery, and cross-functional stakeholder engagement.
- Strong analytical skills with experience in SQL, profiling tools, and data investigation.
- Experience working in federated data governance teams or domain-driven data organizations.
