Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled automation professional to join our quality assurance team. This role requires an individual with deep technical expertise in test automation frameworks and a passion for ensuring software quality across the entire technology stack. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining robust automated testing solutions that integrate seamlessly with our continuous integration and deployment pipelines. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality software products while contributing to the evolution of our enterprise test automation frameworks. Responsibilities
- Design and develop automated test frameworks and scripts for UI testing using Selenium with Java and for REST APIs using Rest Assured and TestNG
- Integrate automated test suites with CI/CD pipelines using tools like Bamboo and manage source code using Stash and GitHub
- Implement Page Object Model design patterns for maintainable and scalable test automation
- Build and execute SQL queries to validate databases using automation tools
- Collaborate with developers, QA analysts, and product managers to understand requirements and determine test coverage needs
- Participate in test planning, test case design, defect reporting, and root cause analysis using JIRA
- Contribute to Enterprise Test Automation Frameworks as needed
- Provide accurate estimates for test strategy, design, and execution work
- Document, communicate, and escalate test results and defects to appropriate stakeholders
- Identify and document bugs clearly and concisely while validating bug fixes
- Coordinate activities between US and remote testing teams as needed
- Translate sophisticated application flows into comprehensive test cases using critical thinking
- Develop Feature Files using Gherkin language for Behavior Driven Development
- Execute parallel test cases across multiple browsers using Selenium Grid
- Perform cloud testing and mobile automation testing
Skills
- Strong proficiency in Selenium Java, Rest Assured, and web UI automation tools
- Advanced coding abilities in Java, JavaScript, and SQL for automating tests across the full solution stack including UI, application layer, REST API, and web services
- Expertise with automation frameworks and tools including JUnit, TestNG, Appium, Cucumber, and Postman
- Experience with REST and JSON APIs
- Proficiency with Docker and containerization technologies
- Knowledge of Extent Reports, Eclipse IDE, and IntelliJ for developing automation scripts
- Strong debugging and problem-solving skills with analytical capabilities
- Data-driven approach with ability to support theories and solutions using underlying data
- Detailed understanding of concurrency, threading, algorithms, and data structures
- Front-end UI experience in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
- Knowledge of cloud-based web applications architecture
- Familiarity with AWS Cloud deployment technologies
- Experience with Agile and Scrum development processes
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
Qualifications
- 2+ years experience in test automation development and framework design
- 2+ years experience with CI/CD pipeline integration
- Background in cloud testing and mobile automation testing
