About The Role
CBRE's Energy team is seeking current undergraduate or graduate students based in New York who are interested in pursuing a career in clean energy and renewables. The team advises global organizations on managing energy costs, generating revenue, reducing risk, and accessing renewable energy.
Participation in the summer internship program is intended to provide a well-rounded knowledge of the clean energy industry and valuable skills, earned by working alongside dedicated professionals in the largest and most successful global commercial real estate services firm.

What You'll Gain
The internship accelerates your learning and development by providing you with a strong foundation upon which to build your career in clean energy. You'll gain exposure to our coordinated service lines. As a program participant, you will also partake in learning and development activities designed especially for you.
What You’ll Do
- Conduct company, property and industry-specific research to support business development initiatives.
- Assist in developing and preparing marketing and presentation materials for renewable services.
- Contribute to projects aimed at helping clients transition to renewable energy sources.
- Data analyzation: Review community solar customer data and analyze potential opportunities for transactions and revenue generation.
- Renewable Energy market analysis: Identify potential new markets for distributed generation, track program changes and market trends in existing markets.
- Research supply chain and other renewable energy market trends to provide actionable insights.
What You’ll Need
This internship is designed for candidates with a strong academic background. Applicants should be self-motivated, creative and focused, seeking to excel in the
renewable energy industry.
- Current college junior, senior, graduate-level student, or recent graduate of an accredited college or university located in New York State, OR a New York State Resident attending or have recently attended a degree program at a college or university outside of NY. New York State residency, with proof of residency such as rental agreement or utility bills, must be established prior to the start of the internship.
- Interns moving to the state for an internship do not qualify under this category.**
- Must have an interest in sustainability, renewables, and/or energy markets
- Experience with MS Office, especially large datasets in Excel is required
- Experience with PowerBI preferred
- Strong presentation skills
- Ability to network and develop positive relationships
- Diligent and highly organized
- Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills
- Exceptional written and oral communication skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively

CBRE carefully considers multiple factors to determine compensation, including a candidate’s education, training, and experience. The minimum salary for the position is
$25.00 per hour and the maximum salary for the position is
$25.00 per hour. The compensation that is offered to a successful candidate will depend on the candidate’s skills, qualifications, and experience.
