What this job involves:
This position supports the operation, inspection, and maintenance of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing equipment and systems across assigned facilities. The Maintenance Mechanic works both independently and alongside Engineers to perform preventive maintenance, respond to repair requests, and conduct facility inspections. The role involves hands-on work maintaining building systems, interior/exterior areas, and ensuring facilities meet client occupancy and operational standards.
Your day-to-day tasks will include:
• Performing ongoing preventive maintenance and repair work orders on facility mechanical, electrical, plumbing and other installed systems and equipment
• Conducting assigned facility inspections and due diligence efforts, reporting conditions impacting client occupancy and operations
• Completing general interior maintenance including patching, painting rooms with professional appearance, door repairs and minor carpentry work
• Assisting the engineering team with maintenance and repair of building equipment and systems as directed
• Moving machinery, equipment and materials as requested, including inventory management
• Replacing lighting, ballasts, cleaning HVAC coils, changing filters and belts
• Updating work order status in real time utilizing CMMS systems such as Corrigo for all work performed
• Disabling and enabling fire panels as needed, completing hazard assessments, and escalating problems to Manager in a timely manner
• Attending work and safety meetings as required while maintaining compliance with all safety procedures and State, County, or City Ordinances, Codes, and Laws
Desired experience and technical skills:
Requirements:
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Minimum 1-3 years of applicable working experience in general building repair and maintenance, basic plumbing, and basic electrical
• Basic plumbing, electrical, and carpentry skills
• Basic investigative skills to trace leak sources
• Strong customer service and interpersonal skills
• Valid state driver's license
• Ability to lift up to 80 lbs and climb up to 30 ft ladders
• Capability to perform frequent climbing, bending, kneeling, and lifting
• Must pass background and drug/alcohol screening process
Preferred:
• Experience with CMMS systems such as Corrigo
• Knowledge of fire panel systems
Salary: 55,300 - $ 60,300 / year
The salary listed is an estimate and not guaranteed. A salary offer will vary based on applicant’s education, experience, skills, abilities, geographic location, internal equity and alignment with market data
