About IPSD
Caterpillar’s Industrial Power Systems Division (IPSD) designs, tests and manufactures 0.5 to 18L engines that not only power Caterpillar machines, but also power over 5000 other applications including Marine, Petroleum, Industrial Applications, Electric Generators, and Locomotives. As a Maintenance Dispatcher, you will be responsible for coordinating and dispatching maintenance personnel to address issues and to perform scheduled maintenance. You will assist in prioritizing work orders, scheduling preventive maintenance, and maintaining records. What you will do:
- Analyze, modify, assign, and schedule maintenance tasks and activities
- Dispatch personnel to address various facilities, controls, and maintenance work orders
- Procure quotes and order tools and components
- Assist in equipment adjustments and repair
- Read and interpret blueprints, CMM reports, csv files, engineering drawings and schematic diagrams
- Maintain maintenance records related to reactive line calls, preventative maintenance, and defective equipment
- Understand and maintain maintenance department metrics
- Submit and assist with the resolution of C.P.S. Continuous Improvement cards
- Follow standard operating procedures and area specific work instructions
- Provide information to supervisors and managers about processes within assigned area
- Maintain a safe and clean workstation
- Perform any other assigned duties
What you will have:
- Minimum of 4 months' experience in a machining, manufacturing, or warehouse environment or industry certification
- Strong and clear verbal and written communications skills
- Ability to collaborate effectively with different teams and departments
- Familiarity with mechanical products and components and the utilization of hand tools
- Ability to read, write, and interpret documents in English
- Previous experience reading and interpreting part prints, schematics, and/or blueprints
- Intermediate experience using software such as Microsoft Excel, Word, and/or PowerPoint
- Previous experience with Standard Operating Procedures or Standard Work
- Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills
- Ability to adhere to safety procedures
What would make you a top candidate:
- Intermediate experience utilizing PLEX
- Previous experience as a dispatcher or experience doing similar work
- Prior experience using dispatch software and tracking systems
- Previous experience reading work orders and/or performing work orders
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to sit or stand for prolonged periods of time
- Ability to perform repetitive operations
- Ability to lift up to 35 lbs.

Summary Pay Range:
$19.55 - $24.70
